A Celebration of Persian and Central Asian Dance

Honor the Persian New Year at Smithsonian’s annual Nowruz Family Day. Welcome spring with free attractions for all ages, including storytelling, hands-on activities, and more. Nomad Dancers performs at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Following 3,000 years of customs and traditions, the colorful Nowruz Festival — the Persian New Year celebration — will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year's festival, with more than 60 booth vendors, is free and will be held indoor (Nowruz Bazaar) & outdoor (Live Entertainment) at Hilton Fairfax, VA. Nomad Dancers performs at 4 pm.

See Nomad Dancers on the stage of the most popular festival in Washington DC, the Turkish Festival, once again on Sunday, October 15th, 2023. Join us for a lovely family day at the Turkish Festival with delicious food, Turkish coffee, music, and dance.

Join us on Saturday, September 23rd at the Reston Town Center for the annual Reston Multicultural Festival. The festival runs from 11 am to 6 pm. Nomad Dancers perform at approximately 2 pm.

Nomad Dancers and Raqs-el Hob present Global Oasis, dancing amid climate crisis, promoting world recovery, as part of the Intersections Festival at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.

Enjoy music, dance, dramatic performances and meet with costumed characters roaming the festival. Shop in the bazaar or savor the flavors of Persia in the food court. Fun for the entire family.
