Turkish Festival - October 2011

At this year’s annual DC Turkish Festival, Nomad Dancers joined several local and Turkish dance troupes to celebrate Turkey's unique ties with the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Mediterranean, Central Asia and the Middle East by presenting Gavalla Raks (Azeri drum dance), and premiering the Qashqai Wedding Dance from Turkic nomad tribes of Iran. Reston Multicultural Festival - September 2011

Nomad Dancers returned to this year's event with several dances, including the debut of their new Afghani dance "Dunya Gozaran".

Textile Museum's Celebration of Textiles Festival - June 2011

Nomad Dancers assisted the Karabakh Foundationin lending an Azerbaijani flavor to this year’s Celebration of Textiles Festival, held on the grounds of the Textile Museum.

Meridian Center's Annual International Children's Festival - May 2011

Premier of two new dances at this educational fun-fair: "Lalu Labatro" Badakhshani dance, and "Raghse Daf" a fusion of Persian and Azeri dance style.

Common Ground Concert - March 2011

Nomad Dancers' appearance at Joy of Motion's Common Ground program included the debut of a Bollywood dance called Desi Girl.

Spice of Life Concert - December 2010

Nomad Dancers joined Saffron Dance for "Spice of Life 2010", adding a Bandari performance to a colorful spectacle of Middle Eastern dances.

U.N. Day - October 2010

Nomad Dancers performed traditional dances in colorful costumes enhanced by the charming natural setting of the National Georgraphic Society courtyard as part of the celebration of the 65th Birthday of the United Nations.

Meridian's 4th Annual International Children's Festival - May 2010

Nomad Dancers performed at this educational fun-fair that brought together the DC community and the diplomatic corps of Washington, D.C., as embassies hosted booths representing their country and culture. Nomad Dancers' performance featured Persian, Afghani, and Uighur-style dance from the Kashgar region.

Norouz Around the World Concert - March 2010

Nomad Dancers presented a festival of dance traditions to celebrate the Persian New Year in Alexandria, VA.
Guest performers: Kardelen Turkish Dance Ensemble, Raqs Jameel, Skyline Showstoppers, and special guest artists Olimdjon Beknazarov and Simone Verduin.

5th Annual Norouz Celebration at Philadelphia Museum of Art - March 2010

Nomad Dancers performed three shows with Rangeen Kaman youth dance company at this whole-day event to celebrate the Persian New Year.

Nomad Dancers' Fundraising Event - December 2009

An evening of fun with a Central Asian flare included dance performances and a fashion show featuring beautiful authentic costumes from the Nomad collection.
